Don’t let back pain or neck pain keep you from doing what you love! Ridge Rehab and Chiropractic can help. Modern chiropractic care involves not only recognizing symptoms, but also finding the root cause and diagnosis through an exam and assessment. Each patient is unique, and there is no “one size fits all” treatment plan at Ridge Rehab and Chiropractic. Your visits may include one or more of the services listed here in your personalized treatment for back and neck pain.
While chiropractic care often involves a combination of techniques to help patients, the most widely seen tool a chiropractor utilizes is the chiropractic adjustment. This involves the gentle manipulation of a joint or multiple joints with the purpose of improving joint movement and decreasing pain.
Functional Rehab starts with assessing and identifying any poor movement patterns that could be affecting your pain or performance. Once assessed, a personalized exercise program is developed to increase endurance, stability, mobility, and teach proper movement principles.
Dry needling is the process of using an acupuncture needle as a tool to mechanically break down painful trigger points, tender points, and taut bands within muscle tissue. The end goal of this is to create a contraction in the muscle known as a “local twitch response”. Research has shown various mechanisms in which dry needling can help, such as decreasing pain, improving range of motion, and promoting tissue healing.
Acupuncture is the process of using tiny needles to stimulate certain points on the body to alleviate pain, increase blood flow, affect inflammation, or treat various other conditions. Research has found acupuncture to be helpful with chronic low back pain, migraines and headache, osteoarthritis, and post-operative pain.
Also known as occlusion therapy, blood flow restriction is a strategy that involves the use of a cuff placed around a limb during exercise. The ability of that blood to escape is greatly reduced, which leads to increased muscle cell swelling. The result is an increase in muscle growth, muscle strength, and growth hormone.
